photography project

This project was particularly intriguing to me. I was really excited about being able to use photography to express myself. After spending time reading and studying the elements and principles of design I realized that capturing these photos to represent the elements would be much harder then i first imagined. Although difficult I enjoyed the thought process that it forced me to go through. I had to not only think about the subject of the photos to make sure they fulfill the requirement but also make sure the photo was ascetically pleasing. I choose the pictures I did not just because they withhold the elements and principles of art but because they represent important times in my life or passions of mine. I enjoyed taking these photographs and becoming more involved in photography. I have always wanted to pursue photography at a more dedicated level and this project gave me a chance to understand the basic principles of it. One of my favorite photographs may have to be the picture I took for pattern. Sunflowers represent happiness, love, and unity. I feel that my life wouldn't be where it is today if I didn't live by these principles. So the picture of Sunflowers represent the quality of life I try to live. I also enjoyed fulfilling the "color" element of this project. I love shooting flowers so it was fun to try and find the brightest flower I could find and capture it's beauty through a lens. I hope that I can give a glimpse into my life and personality through this slideshow. I tried to capture photographs that could tell a story about not only the person/object in front of the lens, but also the person behind it.
